iON Consultants certified to Constructionline Gold

We are proud to announce that iON Consultants Ltd has been awarded Constructionline Gold.

It was a priority of ours to obtain a recognised external health and safety accreditation to demonstrate our commitment to having robust procedures and policies from the get-go. It was also important to demonstrate our ability to obtain such accreditation as effectively as possible for our customers and prospects as procurement and management of such schemes forms part of our service offering.

Safety Schemes in Procurement (SSIP) is an organisation which enables mutual recognition (also known as the ‘deemed to satisfy’ provision) between health and safety assessment schemes, particularly within the construction industry. SSIP member schemes apply core criteria approved by the HSE.

So, the first step was to choose a scheme. We felt that Constructionline was the best fit for our business and the scheme we had most experience of so opted for an initial certification to Acclaim which supports the core criteria relating to basic health and safety compliance.

On being assured to the Acclaim standard, Constructionline assessed our company information related to our core work categories of Health and Safety Consultants and Principal Designer Advisors.

Gold membership includes further validation checks using an enhanced pre-qualification questionnaire that goes beyond PAS 91. Our credentials on environmental management, quality management, equal opportunities, modern slavery act adherence and anti-bribery and corruption policies were assessed and found to be compliant. Some of these policies form part of the Cabinet Office Selection Questionnaire (SQ), which the public sector is expected to comply with.

Having now achieved this standard, we are in a great place to advise customers on robust health and safety standards and assist with the acquisition and management of external health and safety standards.
